Profile

P. M. De Oliveira-De Jesus was born in Caracas, Venezuela, in 1971. He received the Electrical Engineering and M.Sc. degrees from the Universidad Simon Bolıvar (USB), Venezuela, 1995 and 2002, respectively. He got the Ph. D. at Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto, Portugal, in 2008. Postdoctoral research at Coimbra University in 2014-2015. Former Head of USB's Energy Institute, 2010-2014. Associate professor at Simon Bolivar University 2007-2012. Full profesor at Simon Bolivar University 2015-2016. Professor at Los Andes University, Colombia. Research interests on Energy Economics and Power Systems Analysis.

    • Modernización de Sistemas Eléctricos de Potencia (Smart Grids)

      Duration: 36 months

      PR.3.2020.7707

      Mis actividades de investigación en “modernización de sistemas eléctricos” en curso desde 2017 se basan en la inclusión de nuevos algoritmos de optimización (Smart Grids) en los procesos de generación, transmisión, distribución y consumo de energía eléctrica. El proyecto ya ha producido resultados concretos en optimización de confiabilidad líneas de transmisión, optimización de la operación de redes eléctricas, optimización de las protecciones eléctricas, optimización del control de emisiones de las centrales térmicas y optimización de mercados eléctricos.

El proyecto ya ha producido resultados concretos en optimización de confiabilidad líneas de transmisión, optimización de la operación de redes eléctricas, optimización de las protecciones eléctricas, optimización del control de emisiones de las centrales térmicas y optimización de mercados eléctricos.
